Legal Services
A question I get all the time is: “Should I set up an LLC, an S-Corp, or just work as a sole proprietor??”
Honestly, there’s no easy straight forward answer to that question, it really depends on your business and your personal circumstances.
First of all, just for the record, I am NOT an attorney. I am an accountant so I can speak to the accounting and tax benefits of each type of entity, but I am not qualified to give legal advice. If you need legal advice please consult an attorney.
With that being said, if you’d rather not spend the money on an attorney the websites below are great for learning the ins and outs of entity creation and setting up your new company.
Everybody has heard of Legal Zoom, right? Well if not, you should. LegalZoom is great for a new entrepreneur starting an LLC or Corporation. Even if you’re just using it to set up a fictitious name or EIN. LegalZoom makes it really easy to set up so you don’t have to worry that you missed something.
